AN URGENT MESSAGE TO ALL

I am compelled by the Holy Spirit to send out an urgent message to all on our mailing list,
and to friends and to bishops we have met all over the world.

David Wilkerson, Times Square Church

AN EARTH-SHATTERING CALAMITY IS ABOUT TO HAPPEN. IT IS GOING TO BE SO FRIGHTENING, WE ARE ALL GOING TO TREMBLE - EVEN THE GODLIEST AMONG US.

For ten years I have been warning about a thousand fires coming to New York City.
It will engulf the whole megaplex, including areas of New Jersey and Connecticut.

Major cities all across America will experience riots and blazing fires—such as we saw in Watts, Los Angeles, years ago.
There will be riots and fires in cities worldwide. There will be looting—including Times Square, New York City.
What we are experiencing now is not a recession, not even a depression. We are under God’s wrath.
In Psalm 11 it is written,“If the foundations are destroyed, what can the righteous do?” (v. 3).God is judging the raging sins of America and the nations.
He is destroying the secular foundations.
The prophet Jeremiah pleaded with wicked Israel, “God is fashioning a calamity against you and devising a plan against you. Oh, turn back each of you from your evil way, and reform your ways and deeds. But they will say, It’s hopeless! For we are going to follow our own plans, and each of us will act according to the stubbornness of his evil heart” (Jeremiah 18:11-12).
In Psalm 11:6, David warns, “Upon the wicked he will rain snares (coals of fire)…fire…burning wind…will be the portion of their cup.” Why? David answered, “Because the Lord is righteous” (v. 7).
This is a righteous judgment—just as in the judgments of Sodom and in Noah’s generation.
WHAT SHALL THE RIGHTEOUS DO? WHAT ABOUT GOD’S PEOPLE?
First, I give you a practical word I received for my own direction.
If possible lay in store a thirty-day supply of non-perishable food, toiletries and other essentials. In major cities, grocery stores are emptied in an hour at the sign of an impending disaster.
As for our spiritual reaction, we have but two options. This is outlined in Psalm 11. We “flee like a bird to a mountain.” Or, as David says, “He fixed his eyes on the Lord on his throne in heaven—his eyes beholding, his eyelids testing the sons of men” (v. 4). “In the Lord I take refuge” (v. 1).
I will say to my soul: No need to run...no need to hide. This is God’s righteous work. I will behold our Lord on his throne, with his eye of tender, loving kindness watching over every step I take—trusting that he will deliver his people even through floods, fires, calamities, tests, trials of all kinds.

Note: I do not know when these things will come to pass, but I know it is not far off. I have unburdened my soul to you. Do with the message as you choose.God bless and keep you,

In Christ, DAVID WILKERSON (The Cross and the Switchblade)

TG TOGO

Welcome from Pastor Justice Ezikpe of TOGO, Africa!
He is heading up the TG programme for his country.

He was asking how TG's started, and I thought I would just post my reply here:

Dear Bro Justice,
The way TG was started was actually at a New LIfe church Bible Camp which I was asked to take.
From this TG's became a COFFEE BAR which we began to run on Sunday nights as there were no other programmes at that time. We met in a large room underneath a seaside cafe beside the Arabian Sea.
It was not structured or planned, but became like a spontanious combustion!
And we did not, nor do we have a 'let us begin with prayer' type programme.
Young people came flocking to it because they got to sit around and talk, and minister to each other without a programme or leader ordering them to.
Even the leaders were just talking and chatting with everyone.
We always brought a single acoustic guitar, and anyone could strum it, and everyone ended up in songs of praise and worship ... to the pleasant surprise of the customers upstairs in the restaurant.
We would order some snacks, and later on in the evening I might share a few brief thoughts, or get one of the boys to do a new song they had written. Every fourth week we planned to have a bit of a special meal to offer a broader opportunity for the young people to invite others.
But what was the most vital part of it was that the young people began inviting all their non-Christian friends along anyway, and they came because it was not a 'religious style' programme, and certainly not a 'church meeting' as such.
But here they found the love of God shed abroad in the hearts of these young people, and a joy which was real that welcomed everyone in on the same level.
The natural progression of this simple beginning was to form ongoing teaching programmes, and various aspects of outreaches and Bible Camps, and now we are preparing for a 40 day Intensive Bible School for up and coming ministers, evangelists, pastors etc.

Right now we are preparing to relesase 10 full-time evangelists and Christian workers. All of these are between 19 years and 25 years old!
There is a big harvest out there and these young people are the new Disciples who will jump into the sea when God calls them!

I am sure that TG will also be spawning new and dynamic missions, outreaches, children's and youth ministries, and that is why we have both a local leadership to head up TGs and an international team to be a blessing and guidance to the future work.
Thank you for asking, and I am delighted to know that Togo will now have its own TG!

God bless you,

John Masters
